Pergola – Oksenøya Center

On Oksenøya in Bærum, Veidekke has built Oksenøya Center, an area with a school, kindergarten and old people’s home for Bærum municipality. The project is built with the highest environmental certification standard used in Norway. Breeam Excellent. This means that the entire project is climate neutral.

Pergola (BEIN Engineering)

Lighting design company Zenisk has been responsible for the installation Fargedans. BEIN has assisted Zenisk in the construction of a pergola. The pergola is a specially designed screen, shaped like a sun, that shows the energy balance of the entire project. It is one of Norway’s largest investments in solar cell technology in public buildings.

The pergola consists of a steel structure, with acrylic sheets and 7 panels with transparent solar panels so that the energy used for lighting in the evening is produced in the pergola. The operation is energy neutral.

Pergola (BEIN Engineering)

The pergola has a spiral shape, which makes it challenging to know how snow loads and wind loads will affect it. BEIN Engineering has assisted in selecting materials and profile sizes in the load-bearing structure, as well as providing suggestions for necessary reinforcements, in order to achieve satisfactory strength and stability. Both software and manual calculation have been used to document that the design satisfies the requirements of the Eurocodes.

BEIN Engineering has great pleasure in designing both small and large structures. We can assist with design, 3D and 2D drawings, calculation and documentation of your construction. To get beautiful and realistic illustration, images or video clips, before the construction is finished and we can do 3D visualization.
