Sea fastening of Well Head Protection structures before re-use.

OneSubsea/AkerBP will re-use the Jette wellhead protection structures on the Hanz field. Re-use of subsea structures is a rare occurrence in the oil and gas industry, so this is a positive step to save both cost and the environment. The necessary modifications of the structures, before starting a new life at the Hanz field, will be done at Randaberg Industries.

The two 200ton wellhead Protection Structures have now been transported from Stord to Randaberg by the barge TP132 from Tronds Marine ServiceBEIN Engineering is pleased to have been selected to perform the sea fastening design for these large structures. The work has included structural strength calculations as well as drawing production.  Read more of BEIN’s engineering capabilities here and our design capabilities here
